Are you suppose to shave your private area? If so, how?!

Question: well, its not like u HAVE to do it but I think its gross if u don't i shave mine. shave it the way the hair grows so u dont get ingrown hairs. that can happen if u shave against the grain, so to speak. and it hurts that way. just do it in the shower with lotss of shave cream and a good razor. or u can have it waxed or there is some cream out there that u can use like nair but ive heard it kinda burns. anyway, good luck, God Bless

it should definitely be nicely trimmed on a woman.

men don't like to big of a bush so yes you probally should.

You dont have to it is up to the woman, if you feel you need to just take a razor and be very gentle. Make sure you can see what your doing.

You dont have to shave it but you can just make sure you keep it trimmed lol.
just like you would shave your legs thats how i do it. just ake sure you put some moisturiser on after.

im a guy and I just like it neatly trimmed

no u dont have to at all! a lot of guys like it left natural. if u shave it u get razor stubble down there and it looks all red an irritated...how sexy is that?

if u wanna trim it a little so it doesnt peek out of ur panty lines or ur bikini bottom thats ok. u can just snip it with a scissors. but most guys find pubic hair beautiful and very arousing.

A lot of guys like the clean look and a lot of girls like the neatness.

Here is the recommended technique:

- Shopping trip: Buy NEW blades, and a lotion-based shave cream like Skintiment, "Bikini Zone", or "Coochie" cream from Amazon. Also buy some after shave lotion for the bikini area.

- Trim the hairs as short as possible with scissors or a mans electric beard trimmer ($20)

- Take a hot shower to soften the hairs

- Massage in the shave cream keeping the razor hand free to wield the razor. Use the other hand to smooth the skin flat and make smooth, slow strokes with the razor. Try to go over each area max 2 times so you dont scratch/burn the skin.

- The under side (and the harder to do) is where you want to get all the hairs off. But ... have fun with the lower belly. Leave a landing strip, take it all off, make a heart, make a "V" shape - it's all fun.

- After rinsing - apply lotion immediately, and re-apply at the end of the day/next morning. This makes a HUGE difference in reducing razor burn.

Just make sure the lotion is made for the area (Bikini Zone, Coochie) or a un-scented lotion. Make sure there is no SUGAR in the lotion (often a part of the perfume) or you are almost guaranteed a yeast infection.

An alternative is waxing where you want to let things grow so the wax has something to grip. This costs about $50, but the results are baby-smooth for about a month. The first wax tends to hurt a lot more than the later ones so take aspirin an hour before the appointment.
