I had cervical cancer at 24 and they burnt (with a laser) away a large part of my cervix. I was told I wouldn't be able to carry a child and it was almost correct. My son is a problem carryinng from day one. My feet were up. I was in and out of the hospital, on utepart to stop contractions. I was fully dialted before I was 25 weeks pregnant. At 32 weeks I delivered a pretty healthy baby boy. His lungs were not fully formed although they had injected me with steriods while they were tyring to stop the labour a week before. He was in an incubator although he was 7 1/2 lbs (we have big babies in our family). I brought him home and he was okay. He got bronchitus and colds a lot and had to be on puffers by two. He grew out of it by the time he was in grade 2 or 3. He is 6' tall, 18 years old and healthy as a horse.

Doctors are doom sayers. I'm glad I never got my tubes tied because my miracle child wouldn't be here. He was the only one I carried. I unfortunatley went through the pain of miscarriage after miscarriage. Untying your tubes you may have the same thing happen but if you really want another child be prepared. Are you going to be able to lift that 4 year old, or work. Are you willing to make the sacrafices it will take to keep that baby inside? Those are the questions you will have to ask. And at 32 weeks he may not have been so lucky if he wasn't expected from the ultrasounds to be an 11 pound baby to start with.

The best thing you do is talk to your doctor.
