Confused-first period?!
Question: i got my very first period today
my mom dusnt know yet and im scared to tell her..
idk it feels like my life is ruined now?

i had the same feeling. i was too embarrased to tell her. i remember the day i got it. i started getting all emotional and crying and saying "why me.?" lol but you'll get used to it. and it is really hard telling your mom. i just came out and said "mom, i got my period." and she got all emotional and was like "my baby is growning up. your a woman now!" lol and then she told basically everyone in my family and it was really embarrasing. lol but just remember, she went through the same thing when she was a kid. so she knows what your going though, and she knows how you feel.

why are you scared to tell her? i think you should tell her, well because she is gonna eventually find out. it wont ruin your life
Wel congrats!!! Having your period doesnt ruin your life!!! Its just something that happens every month!! Its not a bad thing!! Tell your mom! She will be very happy to know!! Hope this helped!!!
dont hesitate to talk to your mom, its normal for every girl to get it. your life isnt ruined, just talk to her, or an older sister or friend.
no your life is not ruined.i think that it is best to tell her maybe she can go and buy u some tampons or pads.but i think that you should tell her and remember your life is not ruined just cause you got it.
I felt the same way. I had already have learned about periods and felt like I was prepared but I began to be filled with worries and how I might forget about packing enough pads and whether I would need to make a note system or something. It takes awhile to get used to. It' hard, I can tell you that for sure but it gets easier. I promise. Soon there will be no possible way of forgetting because you will just remember.
You need to tell your mom so that she can get you some pads. They'll absorb the mess. In the meantime, don't be upset or sad. Be happy. A new part of your life has begun and you are becoming a woman. It is scary at first. Trust me I know- I'm the oldest and have 3 younger sisters... I've been through this a few times. Tell your mom and she can talk to you and help you with any questions you might have. You never know until you talk to her about it. wow.. this was me exactly two years ago.
i got mine in PE!!! wearing those soffe shorts.. we had to do stretches too.. yea.
i was absolutly horrified about all this.
i felt like crawling into a hole somewhere and never comming out.
but i told my mom and she was very cool about it. she was expecting it. im sure your mom is expecting yours too.
your mom had to tell her mom too.
EVERY girl has this scary moment in there life. it will be just fine.
I didn't want to get mine either, It's not a scary thing, you're just getting older, I didn't tell my mom, but she found out, I would just tell your mom and get it over with, she will find out anyways, in a couple days or so... she will be able to answer questions for you... As for your life being ruined.. it's definately not!! haha it the beginning of growing up, I hated it too!!
Tampons I find are much better than pads because then you don't feel like you have to hide your butt all the time in case you leaked off your pad... but def tell your mom...
My moms relationship with me has increased since I had my first period, dont be scared to tell her. If you get cramps, try Midol teen fromula. Remember, your mom has gone through this too!! I got my first period at my friends lake house at her birthday party, and only her dad was there. I had to ask him to use his phone to call my dad because I couldnt get a hold o my mom and then I finally got to talk to my mom. - Hope you feel better! Have a happy period!

I didnt tell my mom for two months after I got mine but I always had pads around cuz I travel alot without my parents so she always gets me some just incase but when I finally told her she didnt make any big deal about it
your life isnt over. Embrace it now you have an excuse to be a ***ch for a week everymonth....lol jk but no your life isnt over, its just changed a little bit, I know its scary but dont worry you get used to it and dont freak about telling your mom its not like its something bad
