Is it normal for a breast to still have milk if u sqeeze it after 1 1/2 yrs of n!


Question: My chest has been very painful latley from starting the b.c pill and the one chest is more painful then the other, feels like if I were breast feeding again. so one day I tryed and some milky discharge came out of the painful boob, sorry if that sounds sick. So now Im freaked out if thats normal or not. Though they would be dryed up by now. shes 2 and I havent breast fed her since she was 6 months. anyone know anything?

Our bodies are amazing and complex. So much is normal and I don't doubt that there are former nursers who have milk for quite a while. The part that worries me is that you are experiencing pain in your breast(s). Anytime you feel unusual, unexplainable pain that lasts longer than a few days, I think it needs to be looked at by a doctor. Get yourself checked out, even if it's only to give you some peace of mind.

Yes, it can go on for a long time (sometimes years) after you stop breast feeding.

yes because your breast capilaries still have milk and can still breast feed your child until they are five years old.
