Depression or just a slump?!

Question: it feels like for the last week or two i haven't really been feeling that good.. emotionally i guess

ive wanted to change my appearance.. and i know i don't need to..
ive been argumenative with my boyfriend.. lastnight he flat out told me it was pissing him off..
and i feel like i just go day to day and thats kind of it..

some changes that have happened in this time is that i graduated high school early so just started college.. my cousin's baby is living w us right now (3months) and he's taking up all my moms time..

im NEVER like this.. me and my boyfriend have been together almost a year and don't typically have anything to argue about..
anyways i was just wondering what i could do to feel better and come ;out of whatever im in..

im not on or near my period either.. and have been on my bc for a while so thats not an issue

thanks

Sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed and neglected. Make sure you're eating right, and try to work out some every day.. those two things can make such a huge difference. Advice I don't always follow, myself. =)
Let your mom know that you're feeling ignored.. find someone to watch the baby while the two of you spend some time together. Try to talk to her or someone else in your life about the feelings you're having; going to a therapist might not be a bad idea.

Your life has changed a lot in a short time period; the way you're feeling is understandable. Apologize to your boyfriend and try to explain to him what you've been feeling; let him know that it has nothing to do with him.. that he didn't do anything wrong.

It's not about your appearance; nothing about you needs to be 'fixed'. You're just in an adjustment period.. it will pass, and in the meantime I hope you have someone supportive to talk to.

Well im not a doctor but it sounds like your stressed out. I really only have one piece of advice to give because sometimes stress is unavoidable, "DONT sweet the small things, they're ALL the small things." ^_^

to be honest, it sounds like youare a bit upset with your mother for giving all her time to your cousins baby and not really any with you. i think in a way you feel that youjust graduated high school and are going to start college, so she should be sharing that experience with you and be celebrating with you. you should just simply talk to your mom about it, but not to make her feel guilty.

Its just a slump my friend, try a nice hot cup of tea in the morning and one in the evening this will take away the blues.

Sometimes we can just have a hard time dealing with stress and changes in our environment and routine, which you're having right now.
If this stress continues it can definitely lead to clinical depression.
Irritibility is a symptom of depression. Feeling hopeless is another. Problems with relationships is another.
You definitely need someone to talk to. The college may offer you counseling for free, or you can go to your local social services agency for counseling for next to nothing.

Many young people in your situation drop out of school and life all together because the changes are just too much. You definitely need and totally deserve some help and added support.

I think you're just a little stressed out. Everyone has days like these, you've got to find ways to calm yourself down. (:
