I suggest washing the area (both before you shave and after you shave but make sure to rinse away all the residue from your shaving gel first) with an anti-bacterial soap like Dial, this will help to prevent getting the rash and help the rash you have heal faster. But in the meantime to soothe & heal the rash you already have, washt the affected area with antibacterial soap twice a day and then apply a cortisone containing cream like Cortisol or even a cream meant for babies aimed to treat diaper rash.
Also, don't shave again until it's healed.
Maybe your shaving gel/cream is too harsh for you too...perhaps switching to a sensitive formula would help?
Good luck!! Enjoy the warmth! (It's quite cold where I am, I envy you! :D)

grape seed oil after you shave. also make sure you are using a good sharp razor. Don't go cheap with your razors.

An amazing product called Bikini Zone. It's a cream. Put it on after you shave . . . no more bumps.

Try using an electric razor and a shave gel with soothing lotion in it.
