Girl question.?!

Question: I started my period on the 18th of Jan. and ended it on the 23rd.
My period is NOT on every 18th of every month.
I've heard about the 28 days thing, and I'm not sure if it works
My questions are...

--Does the 28th day thing work for you?
--If it does, do I start counting on the day I start, or on the day I end, to know my next period day?

please and thankyou
x

Nope i have had my period for 2 years know. I got it when i was 11. It comes around 37 days and can vary from woman to woman. You count the day you start not the day you finish. Hope you get used to it soon hun. x

Usually I start every 4th Thursday of the month like Clockwork. I've heard of the 28 day thing, but I havent always started on a Thursday. Sometimes its changes days by just a few, but lately its been the 4th Thursday.
See a doctor, try birth control to regulate your cycle. It really helps for some people.

you shouldnt be worried every girl is different and therefore it starts diff....
on some people it starts every month exactly but to some poeple is starts every two months your period isnt always gonna be started exactly on the 18 it may be sooner or it may be later...

I don't know what "28 day thing" you're talking about. 28 days is the average cycle length for most women. Yours may be shorter or longer. You count your cycle from the first day of your menstrual period.

If by "28 day thing" you are referring to the rhythm method of birth control, you should know it doesn't work very well. Your ovaries can't count, or read a calendar. They'll put out an egg whenever they feel like it, and it won't always be the same day of the month.

the 28th thing is just the "normal" But whos normal anyway??

You start counting on the Very first day of Your full flow period (not spotting)
then you mark it on your calender.. Do this for a few monthes and you may be able to pinpoint how many days you are from the start of one period to the start of the next.. But alot of people will go 28 days one month then the next 31 then the next 27..
and thats normal too!!
and if your young its way normal skip periods when you first start too..
Goodluck!!

Use the 28 day as a rule of thump not no much as the gospel. keep n mind that there is 30 to 31 days in each month and one has less than them all is it a leap year or not. So when you count 28 days that would be some things to consider, also if you count from when you began and you last 5 days then you have around 33 or so day. Now count from when you end, the days will end of something other than the fourth Thursday of each month. Been around mother, three sister's, a wife and a daughter on top of that had as many as 30 WM's at one time around me and someone was always on it. I don't have a vagina just around a lot of them and there moods.

hiya there, everyone is diff as everyone else says, If you are just starttig to get period then i would say start keeping a little diary for the days you start and stop then you might see a pattern forming don't worry about not being regular (unless you are not protecting yourself while having sex, then you worry)

Hope this helps you out, it's best to talk about these things and not keep them inside :)

for a few a few mounths or so after u start your period u will bounce around like u will have it one mounth but not the other stuff like that i happen to me i have had my period for over a year now and it still is not regualar so it is different for everyone don't worry it will eventually get regualar

good luck
