Answers: why is it that you can have your period twice in one month?

if you're getting technical.
you can have it twice in one month because it comes around every 28 days. there are 30 days in a month and if you get your period at the start of the month it's likley to come again before the month is over right?

I didn't know you could...

Without more information, I'll have to answer, "It's not". If you're experiencing this, your doctor will want to see you.

It's not exactly normal, so I would at least call your doctor. If you're on birth control, you can experience some breakthrough bleeding that resembles a period, or you could have a hormone imbalance causing you to ovulate more frequently than normal. Check with your doctor to be sure.

it is called spotting. It is normal for this to happen every now and then. It is break through bleeding. Sometimes women on BC PILLs this happens to. But you don't have to be on the pill for it to happen to. If it continues though call you OB?GYN

This happened to me recently. I had my period start on Dec. 23 and it ended on Dec. 29. Then I got my period again about a week later. The second period started as very light spotting and then went to full blown period. The only reason I can think of why this happened for me is that when I was younger, (I am 25 and have two children) my period always began on the 4th of every month.

My cycle's been really messed up since having kids and gaining tons of weight. Now that I lost a lot of weight, my hormones are starting to correct themselves and I am getting back on my regular schedule. I knew it was not pregnancy related as, well it's been over half a year since that would have been remotely possible as my hubby is gone to Iraq, and that ruled out STD.

It is natural and nothing to be alarmed about. If it continues, you should see a doctor and see if s/he can correct the problem via hormone treatment.

I think, it really depends on your age and your health. Sometime even what you eat can influence your period. I would say you should probably go to the doctor, but it may just be that you have a shorter menstrual cycle than the average of 28 days. I would worry way more about not getting it at all, but do go to a doctor when possible. You can check out this website, it says that if your period comes closer than 3 weeks apart, you should check it out with your doctor.

(but it does state the same thing I was saying about the shorter menstrual cycle, not all women's bodies are the same and length of the cycle can vary)

thats abnormal

i dont really know but birth control can fix that problem
