Embarrassing question here...?!

Question: Ok...I feel really stupid for having to ask this as it is, so please don't make fun of me for it.

Every morning when I get up I kind of fart...but from my vagina (my mom call's it "queef"). I had a baby six months ago, Mirena put in three months ago, and the last time I had sex was 1 1/2 months ago...but I don't know if any of that is relevant or not so I just threw that in there. Its only been happening for about a week and it always when I'm in the process of getting up. I don't know what the hell is going on with my body. Why does this happen? Also, I haven't had my period yet since my daughter was born...I'm not pregnant...any ideas why and if I'll get it back at some point?

About the period, here are some websites I found by googling period and childbirth: http://www.google.com/search?as_q=period...

I have had vaginal farts during sex in certain positions, but had not heard of them happening without sex. Fortunately, other people have. Here are some websites from a Google search for vaginal and farts: http://www.google.com/search?as_q=vagina...

I don't know why you are getting air into your vagina while lying down. The only thing I can think of that might help is Kegel excercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles; try googling "kegel exercises" for the proper way to do them.

Its trapped air in your vagina. Your probably 'sucking' air in sometime while your sleeping with different postions and comes out when you get up....makes sense that you just had a baby..congrats btw...your vaginal muscles are still weak and stretched so air get in with the slightest movement...absoultly nothing to worry about, prob go away as your muscles get stronger

mirena may be having an effect.Or perhaps you are having erotic dreams?

After giving birth it takes time for body to recover. Youve been through a pregnancy and childbirth.Have you been back for your check up? Are you on birth control or if you are breastfeeding? That will cause your period to be little or none. You more than likely get back on a normal cycle soon. The air is just being expelled when you get up, it isnt anything to worry about. You may feel better talking with your doctor. You are NOT stupid. Its not stupid to ask questions of things that we do not know. Take care and try to relax.

i would take a pregnacy test and i agree with the 1st person 2. it is probably trapped air :}
