After having a vaginal birth with slight tearing, I have a bump near the sight o!

Question: Do I have any reason to be worried? It's a year and a half later and I just noticed it. My boyfriend says it's been there as long as he can remember. But since I just noticed it a wave of panic has hit me. It's a pretty minor white bump, no soreness, redness, itchiness or anything of that sort. Like I said I hadn't noticed it until I actually felt it.

It probably wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doctor next time you go in. If it grows larger, changes in color, becomes painful, or has any other unusual change, you might want to call the doctor and ask them what they think. They'll let you know if you should come in and be seen.

It's scar tissue more than likely, and nothing to worry about. Most women who had an episiotomy end up with some scarring in one way or another.

If I were you, I would go check it out with a doctor.

if its been that long, there isn't anything to worry about. if it doesn't hurt, nothing like that, wait till your annual pap and get the dr to look at it then. it is probably the way they sewed you up, i am sorry

Unless it causes pain, tightening, or generral discomfit -
I guess it to be scarring from stitching of the initial tear.
Mention it to your doctor if you feel it's a worry - then you're mind's at rest!
