How can I get rid of this itching?!

Question: Lately I've been really itchy in my vaginal area. However, there is no smell or discharge. It's more prominent after I go to the bathroom. I make sure to wipe front to back. It doesn't bother me so much at home, when I can scratch all I want. But I'm at work right now and I'm going crazy. Please help!!

Try a bath in baking soda and corn starch. It will dry it out, and can rid you of yeast infections...(from the Mother of All Pregnancy Books).

The site below says to use 1/2 cup baking soda in the bath.

Even if it isn't a yeast infection, this treatment rids you of the itching.

Try it. It is safe, and quite simple....you just sit in the bath.

eeew, TMI

lotion

go to the drugstore and get some cream for it. i think its vagisil

I would go to your doctor make you got a infection :-S

You need an ointment for yeast infection. You can have a yeast infection without those other symptoms, and the cream will alleviate the itch.

Get a yeast infection cream. Even though you have no discharge, it may still be there.

its probably an irritation from your soap...try a milder soap...and some vagisil cream should help too...they also have these little test so u can see what the acidic levels in ur vagina are...i would try that 2

OTC cream for that............

apply a vinegar on a piece of cotton... then wipe the itchy area... then... give it a alcohol..... and thats it.... the vinegar is the most effective way... ...yeah thats yummy... i smell it

dont listen to them... mind is effective and economically!!!

Try vagisil cream, you can buy it over the counter and it is for itching. Also you could be allergic to the soap or detergent you are using, try buying an allergy free soap for showereing with and an allergy free setergent for washing your clothing in.

Maybe you need to do it with someone and get rid of the itch.

Or, There are creams on the market (over the counter) to stop such itches. Go to the drugstore and find the right one for your itch.

whoa!!! TMI lady......but go out and get powders. it will keep you cool and dry and should help the itchiness. also don't wear tight pants and wear cotton panties.

It sounds like a yeast infection. If you haven't been treated for one before you need to be tested. Call the doctor's office & tell them you suspect a yeast infection. A sample of urine to be tested is all that is needed to make a diagnosis. You can then purchase a creme available in the drugstore to mend the situation. There are also ointments available for the itch. A friend of mine once told me she had a yeast infection with such horrible itching she had to put an ice pack in her underwear to get relief. I don't know if it will help but, there it is.

Try Monistat dual pack with suppositories and cream over the counter. The three day pack seems to work better than one day. In addition, Zyrtec is now over the counter and if you take a Zyrtec when you take the suppository it will give you a boost to end the itching sooner. The drug reps used to suggest that we prescribe a Zyrtec with cream or Diflucan and it really does make a difference. Zyrtec is an awesome antihystamine and does not cause you to feel hungover like benadryl.

Go to the drugstore and get an old school box of generic Monistat and instead of using it with the applicator and stuff, just put the cream where it itches. It makes it go away. If it doesn't, go to the Dr.

I just went to the clinic for the same reason I told my doc I tried vagi-sil. She checked sho nough it was a yeast infection. She sys vagi-sil will work for a while but it is better to get a cream from your doctor it took threee days and the itching is gone away I feel so much better.

I'd go to the doctor. It could be so many things, from a bacterial infection, to an allergic reaction, to dry skin, to a yeast infection! Go to the doctor ASAP!
