How much was the biggest time interval between two periods at 17/18 years old?!

Question: Hello everyone. After stopping birth control (which i use to regualte my period) 3 months ago i had only had one single period, so i just want to ask if this can happen, i was irregular before starting birth control and there is no risk of pregnancy... so i just wanted to ask you girls how much time did you stay the most without a period (without having a disease)... I'll be 18 in 4 months....

It's very normal for the period to be irregular for a while after coming off birth control, it can often take 3-6 months or longer for a woman's cycle to regulate itself. And if you had irregular periods anyway then going off birth control will probably mean you'll be back to your irregular periods. The biggest time interval can be months in women with irregular periods at that age. Some causes of irregular periods can be being overweight, underweight and having PCOS. Anyway you can talk to your doctor if you're worried but I would say 1 period in 3 months isn't too big a worry, it's normally a concern if you get none for 6+ months.

1. Your body sometimes needs time to readjust itself after stopping the pill. It could be that.

2. Do you weigh enough? If your BMI or weight is too low, it could stop menstruation. If this is so, you REALLY need to get your weight up, since a stopped period due to weight is a sign of really terrible other effects.

If it's not back by next cycle, you should call your doc to check up.

And your a male called mark?
That's weird.

It can take awhile before you get regular again. up to a year. I recently stopped mine too, and I got mine early, and then late.
