Anyone ever been on Depo Provera for 10 yrs or longer?!
Question: I was on Depo for 10 yrs. Got off of it, but don't want to use another form of birth control just yet, but don't want to get pregnant. Anyway, wondering if being on Depo for so long could've made me sterile or very hard to get preg? I would not be sad if I was sterile now. I don't want anymore kids. Anyone have experience with this or know someone who got preg after being on Depo for over 10 yrs?

I was on depo for about 8 yrs ( I'm 27 now) and I got off of it about a year ago. It is possilbe to get prego right away before your periods even start up if you are ovulating still. I personally wouldn't risk it. I have heard it would be more difficult to get prego in the first year though.
I also wanted to add that with depo, it seems like the people that dont wanna get prego after using it DO get prego and the one's that are trying DON'T. That's Murphy's Law, I guess.
