Birth control makes my periods go away. =D

Also... try not to stress about it. I have stressed about it before only to delay my one-day period by about two weeks.

It is good that you took a pregnancy test to be sure, and it is good that you are using any kind of birth control if you are sexually active. So kudos to you.

You an always talk to your doctor about this. And if you wish, they can probably switch you to something different that might not have that affect on you if it is, in fact, the pills that are causing you to miss your period.

Sometimes when girls don't get their period it's because they are over stressed with causes an imbalance in their hormones,

if your under a lot of stress or eat unhealthy may stop your period for a cycle or two. and now that your on birth control you rperiods may be really light or may not come at all

If you are currently TAKING birth control, you wouldnt have a period until you stopped taking active pills (the pills you take when you should be having your period are differnt, there are 7, and they are usually a different color). If you have a complete absence of your period even when taking inactive pills, and your not pregnant, you should talk to an OB about it. It could have to do with A LOT of things.

you suck...

I'm a guy and I know common sense.

this is a MEDICAL PROBLEM

You don't have to be an astronomer to know the Sun is Shining...

Go back to your OB/GYN.

Now see? My penis didn't keep me from giving you the right answer... did your VAGINA stop you from getting it right?

This happened to my friend too. She had to get all kinds of blood tests done before they figured out that her estrogen levels were too low. But now she's on birth control and she gets her period regularly. My suggestion is give the birth control another month to work and if it doesn't talk to your doctor more.

It's normal

being on birth control can give you irregular periods. I know my wife had the same problem when she took them and now she does not take them at all. We use a different method not to get pregnant.

the birth control depending on what it is can stop you or stall it by a month or two, also stress does affect your cycle, if not right in a couple of months it might be worth altering the birth control and seeing how that works. good luck

I'm surprised you were able to start your birth control without having a period first. That could be a problem. I don't think you did the pill correct and it screwed things up worse. Call your doctor and talk to them.

The first time I got pregnant I took 2 tests and went to the doctor but nothing came back, I was even put on the pill like you and I WAS pregnant it was not showing on the tests.

I found out in my 3rd month of missing my period and my mom made me go to planned parenthood to get a free test from them and yep, I was in fact pregnant.

Go back to the doctor and ask to have your blood tested to see if you are pregnant.

What sort of birthcontrol pill are you taking? Is it one you keep taking or is there a 7 day break? Some types of birthcontrol stop your periods.
Like others said, stress could stop your periods, as loosing too much weight (anorexics don't have periods), as stress. But often it's a sign of a hormonal imbalance or a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome. Have yourself checked out by a gynaecologist.

mmm it cud just b that it is thre pill settling down ...
try not to worry to much, but i do advise u do another test tho...

and there isn't they thats say if ur pregnant that the pill hurt the baby.. but it is always best to find out early so u can got throught ur options...

so just do another just to b sure good luck and all the best :)

Normally when you're beginning a new contraceptive it alters your cycle or make it last longer, however in the case that you've seen your gyne, its possible that your body might be going through stress. which sometimes alters our cycle, next time you visit your doc ask him to do an ultra sound to see if its a possibility of ovarian cyst or fibroids.

good luck

Unless you are starving yourself or exercising to excess, you should be having periods. Some birth control pills on the market will reduce the number of period you have in a year, but they are advertised for that effect, so if yours was not that kind, then you have a problem.
There is a problem with your uterus or your hormones, so you need to see the GYN doctor for blood tests and an ultrasound. It may be a cyst or endometriosis or fibroids. If you bleeding has been sporatic, dark and a little foul before now, I would assume fibroids. But if it is not the uterus and frbroids - there are only so many things that would make both ovaries misfire on the period trigger - so you want that to be investigated right away.
If you are dieting heavily or working out all the time - reduce that workout and eat! The kinds of exercise or starvation that causes your period to stop is very damaging to your body in other ways and can cause organ damage.

go back to the doctor. i had this problem too and it turned out that my hormones were very inbalanced and i had to take provera to jumpstart a period before starting birth control.

YOU THINK ABOUT DEATH TOO MUCH.....YOU HAVE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION
