Pill (Mercilon) question??? First pack and bleeding on 5th day!!?!


Question: Hi, my doctor has just put me on the low dosage pill (mercilon) as i cannot take any others due to high blood pressure on (microgynon) and constant bleeding on (cerazette) it is not recommended i have the coil or injection because of the way my body reacts to the pills! i am on my first packet of mercilon and on my 5th day started bleeding very red blood wich turned brownish the next morning....is this normal, does it stop, and how long will it last! i hope you can help as this is my last option if this doesnt work for me i have to use condoms and i hate them, they make me feel dirty and give me thrush! any help will be brill, cheers xxx

"Breakthrough bleeding or spotting may still occur in the first few months, usually due to one of two reasons. The first is that your body is still adjusting to the hormone levels in the Pill. In this case, the bleeding will stop after a couple of months.
