I have gotten an Immunization Notice That i'm prepared to fight.?!

Question: I am absolutely FED up with these "Mandatory Booster" Children and teens need to go through for nothing. I found a Legal Document that Can cause me not to get the Diphtheria- Tetanus
shot I DON'T need.
Can I present document this to my school to get out of it when my parents sign it??
It's a Immunization Exemption Form for Conscience and Religion

I have a Diabetes And I have to give myself a needle every day I just started last week Personally I don't want an extra needle so is this documentation Legal?

I work in the state of California at an Immunization clinic. Instead of looking of it as getting another needle poked in you, look at it as a vaccine helping to protect you from a harmful disease.

Tetanus is caused by a germ that enters the body through a wound or cut. It causes serious, painful spasms of all muscles. Diphtheria spreads when germs pass from an infected person to the nose or throat of others. I t causes a thick coating in the nose, throat or airway.

This vaccine/shot can prevent you from getting this illness.

It is true that a waiver can be signed by a parent for their child to not have to get the vaccine. But there are certain rules behind it. Saying because my child doesn't want to be poked w/ a needle is not a justified excuse.

Do your homework and please try to look at all the great benefits of receiving this vaccine.

Go to the school and ASK them for the paper work, by law they have to tell you what form to use.

I think its better to get a shot and be safe than regret later of not getting it when you get the disease...
Rebel about other things than your health!!!

Okay--I know that this is not what you want to hear, but unless you have been a member of a known religion ,like Jehovah's witness or Amish, that forbids immunizations for several years, this documentation would not help you--after all it is on record that you have had immuniztations in the past. Another thing--tetanus is very common in the US, and without the one little shot from the vaccine, then you will get a series of two shots a day with very large needles for 2 weeks, plus IVs every day if you get tetanus. I personally would chose the one booster shot rather than risk it. You can get tetanus from any wound that heals over quickly, leaving bacteria trapped inside. If tetnus is not found quickly enough, even with modern medicine, it is deadly. Having diabetes can weaken your immune system so you are at a higher risk for infections than the general population.

Also-Most insurance companies will pay for diabetic pumps. I have 2 friends with them who love the pump. It requires a shot only once every 3-4 days, and some even check your blood sugar so you wouldn't have to keep pricking your finger. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Although needles suck, its just a shot, you will get over it. a tiny pick is way better than getting a life threatening disease.
