I'm assuming you're asking about fibroids. I have a history of both fibroids and polyps. They caused heavy bleeding and cramping for me, and have had them removed a few times via hysteroscopy with D&C.
Ultrasounds will diagnose these growths, most cases are benign (harmless). If they cause problems, the best way to take care of them is via surgery.
