Back pain due to large breasts. Is there anything I can do?!

Question: other than breast reduction surgery? I'm a DDD. I have a really good bra with good support, but I'm still having upper back pain. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Meekstr

If you are having a burning or tearing type pain then your breasts are ripping your muscles in your back - you then do need to look into reduction surgery. if you are young then there are risks involved - won't be able to breast feed possibly, loss of nipple sensation and a few others.

My wife has had the operation and the only thing she couldn't do was breast feed - good for me as it meant i could help feed our boys.

As to the pain now, there are a few things you can do to ease the pain. Stretches may help but it is a hard area to reach. There are a few Acupressure points you can try to help reduce the pain and build strength in the area.

Seeing a Chiropractor, PT or someone spinal related may help as you may just have a few joint problems and your large breasts just aggravating the area.

The link below has some techniques you can try and feel free to email me if you want more advice.

If you have a "really good bra" and are still experiencing such pain, it's not a really good bra.

I'm a G cup and had to be measured properly. Go and get yourself measured!

haha theres 2 solutions to this :
1.) get your bf or w/e to hold them up for you
2.) trade with me and ull NEVER have that problem :P

If it's of any help, a plastic surgeon once told me that the one cosmetic procedure they perform which their patient is *always* happy with is breast reduction ("reduction mammoplasty"). If it's documented correctly (back pain, bra strap marks, etc) then there won't be any question that it's therapeutic and not cosmetic (and should be covered by insurance).

If you already have a good bra you're probably doing the best you can without surgery.

You can have what is called a mammoplastie reduction and sometimes you can get your insurance to cover it because it is a health issue and it is pulling the mucles on your back and neck. Check with your gp to get a recomendation for a plastic sergin and make sure the paper work state medical nessc.

Get an orthopedic bra!

Go to a chiropractor and you can also do strectches while sitting at your desk or wherever you are. Make sure you sit up straight as well.

u could e mail me a pic of them to me at gaaraginta@hotmail.com
