Othro Tri-Cyclen Lo?!

Question: I've been on the pill for 8 years now (I'm 24) First I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen then my doctor switched me to the Lo, I NEVER take my pills at the same time everyday, I'm lucky if I even remember to take one everyday, usually I'm a day behind maybe even 2. I've never been pregnant and never even have had a pregnancy scare, I've always gotten my period on time. I guess my question is am I infertile? Or whatever you call it, at this point I feel like I've been on the pill forever and I'm scared I'm not going to be able to have children when I finally decide I want to, has anyone else experienced this? Or maybe I'm just really really lucky? Arghh idk...

It is hard to tell. Some people, after going off of the pill, aren't able to get pregnant for over a year because it is still in their systems. Some people get pregnant right away. So it is either you are one of the people who will have to wait a while to get pregnant after going off the pill, or maybe you have fertility problems, or you are just lucky. Don't worry about it till you start looking into having a baby, unless you are really concerned, then talk to you doctor.

I wouldn't worry about it. I take ortho tri-cyclen and I never take my pills on time, and thankfully, my period still comes on time every month.

It can't make you infertile, but it can take you much longer to actually get pregnant when you want to. Since you've been on the pill for so many years, your body has gotten really used to it and adjusted to the hormones.

I know how you feel. If you want to have children within the next year or two, I'd get off of the pill now, just to be safe. No worries & good luck!

Wow, I thought I had written that myself! I am in the same exact boat and have the same exact question.
