My cervix has been high for 3 weeks hpt negative I don't know what it is the!

Question: My period was normal in December which was Dec 8-12 but in January I was a week late. The first day Jan 15 I spotted the next day I bled lightly Jan 16 and spotted Jan 17. That was it. I checked my cervix on Jan 19 and it was high and still is high . I went to my doctor and took a pt and it was negative. Has anyone experienced anything like this, my doctor was no help. I just want to know if this is normal or is there something wrong with me..

Cervical position is not a good indicator of pregnancy. Although the cervix can move according to where you are in the cycle, it's not usually enough to really notice and is just too variable to be dependable. A high cervix is most often noted as pre-ovulation, up to ovulation. Your cycle could have been delayed for any number of reasons, and the lightness of flow could simply mean nothing more than less lining was built up. That is right over the holiday time, when we are all a bit more stressed and hurried, and our usual eating/sleeping patterns get disrupted. That in turn can disrupt a cycle sometimes. I don't know that I would say anything is wrong with you, it would be nearly impossible to guess based only on the one odd cycle. They do happen on the odd occasion, and it doesn't mean anything at all except it just happens. You had a negative pregnancy test, so you are not pregnant. Position of the cervix would suggest you are pre-ovulatory, and that puts you at just about half way through this current cycle. Which is about where you should be, according to calculations based on a 28 day cycle. Wait and see what the next period brings, and don't be surprised if this one is heavy and clotty. That would be the usual for a catch-up cycle. For right now, you sound normal, and for the rest you will just have to wait and see what happens.

Cervix positioning is not a reliable indicator of pregnancy. At your next pelvic exam, have your doctor evaluate you & your cervical health... your cervix may be incompetent, but I don't think that a high cervix position is the reason... you are probably just amidst another cycle.
