How do you deal with really painful periods?!

Question: i am thinking of starting taking midol a week before it comes. it clears if i take 4-6 capsules hours before it starts. the breast pain sucks, the back pain sucks, the legs pains, the shaking of the nerves, the irritability. the headaches. its just hell. i thought about ending it all today. ending my life over the pain. the pain hurts so much once every 28 days. this month sooner because february is a short month. i don't want to be touched by anyone when i have it. i am rushing home to lie down. i don't feel like doing any work. my mind is focused on the pain. i mean i've had this pain for years. i really hate being a woman. i've had this pain for 8 years. periods used to start off when i was 13 to last 8-9 days. now its lasting 5 days, but the first 2 days are pains, that feels like i am kicked in my stomach. pains so bad i don't want to sit down. if i am out of midol or tylenol. if i don't take a lot. i feel like i am gonna die. the first couple of days i take at most 6.

I lived with that kind of pain for 30 years before I had a hysterectomy. If you haven't been to the doctor for a full physical, including well woman exam, you need to schedule an appointment as soon as possible to make sure that something seriously wrong is not going on with your body.

You may want to consider hormone therapy.

You do NOT have to live with pain. Ibuprofen works well, but tears up the stomach. Heating pads on your abdomen and back, ice packs on your breasts.

I was having my period the day I had my surgery.. and two days after my hysterectomy, I felt better than I did the morning before my surgery.

Good luck.. been there, done that, and glad I don't ever have to deal with it again.

I buy my girlfriend some midol so we both feel better....

I walk out of the house and go drink. F..that

take some kind of pain killer a week before you period... or consider taking birthcontrol... it helps the cramps from hurting so much... best thing to do is go see a doctor...

i take a midol and i lay down...
Bananas help ....
Heating Pads Helpp....
Hot Tea Helps....
Moltirn helps....

i know exactly how Ur feeling.Since my first period I've always experience painful periods i get leg cramps, stomach cramps, headaches, backaches, vomiting the pain only lasted for the first 2 days. The pain would so bad that it would be hard for me 2 stand up.Midol don't work for me,Tylenol don't work.Only Mortin 800 worked and i had 2 take 2 pills every 4 to 6 hours.I went To the doctor and i found out i had a sises(i think thats how u spell it) on my ovary and every time my period came it was causing the horrible pain.So i went on birth control the sises went away with the horrible pains.I think u should really go to the doctor it can be something like what i had or it can be fibroids.
