Question: I'm going on a trip and I think my period is at the same time.
I would enjoy the trip more if I didnt have to deal with my period..
So If I go on birth control will it change the time I get my period?

When's the trip? It depends when it is as to if you can stop your period or not. If you start taking birth control now and take it constantly until the time of the trip, then yeah it could be you'll skip your period. But some women doing this find they end up with spotting throughout the month (especially if they do it on their first month on the pill) so that might be just as irritating as having your period.
Weight gain seems to be a side effect but it doesn't happen to everybody.
yes birth control can make you gain weight but not all the time. Birth control just helps regulate the cycle more. you usually start BC the 1st day of ur period so still 28 days later u will get your period. But some BC is different from others, what i explained thats how mine works and i am using Yasmin 28. So if your not sure about ur type of BC just do some quick research on it.
