Is my sister pregnant? What do you think?!

Question: I was a little worried when my 19 year old sister told me that she hasn't had a period in over a year.

She weighs 260 pounds and she is on the contraceptive pill Cerazette.

I have noticed that her breasts have grown in the past 2 months and I know that she has been sexually active with her partner for 3 years but she is responsible and wouldn't miss taking her pill.

Could she still be pregnant? I don't agree that not having a period is natural but she won't listen and says she is happy with the contraceptive that she is on.

with some pills it causes you not to get ur period and the pill makes you gain weight, and boobs are made up stored fat cells...

fattttttttttt

Has she gone to a doctor?? I don't think that it's normal to go without your period for a year like that...but I think that you have to have your period to ovulate so I'm not sure....I could be completely wrong, but I would say that's something for her to go to a doctor about.

***Oh, and to the guy that posted above me, that's real mature....why are you in the women's health section anyway???

If she hasn't had a period in over a year, then I doubt she is pregnant, as she would of had the baby now, since you are only pregnant for about nine months. The pill she is on could be doing something to her hormones to stop her from getting a period. She should see a doctor to find out what is wrong.

If your sister hasn't had a period in over a year that has nothing to do with her being pregnant. As a matter of fact she would have delivered the baby by now if she didn't have a period in the past year. I could see if you said she has not had her period in two or three months but if she hasn't had a period in the past year then she needs to see her doctor. There may be a medical reason for this. It may be because of the contraceptive pill she's on too. A lot of women have different symptoms because their bodies are not the same. I personally think it's because of the pill. My hairdresser is on a certain birth control pill and she said she hasn't had her period in 6 months now. That's just the side affects from it. I wouldn't worry about her being pregnant.

No shes not pregnant or else you would've noticed it by now. There are some birth control at stops your period, or lightens it.

Does she look like she's pregnant? If its been over a year she shouldve had the baby by now and a wide belly.

Maybe she's having a menstrual problem that's all. If youre worried go tell her to see a doctor.

i would definatly tell her to go get it checked out by a dr there could be something seriously wrong. i doubt that she would still be pregnant.

I think she should go to the doctor and have a pregnancy test.

Tell her to take a pregnancy test or see a doctor.
