Just to be sure i would get checked out again. The thing is i am due in for a checkup and i am very nervous. But to put your mind at ease if it was serios they would have asked you to come back in straight away.

I had one abnormal pap smear about 6 or 7 years ago. I had to repeat it earlier than usual and it turned out to be fine that time. I've had 2 kids since then and all my pap smears have been normal since the one abnormal one. Usually pap smears are detecting changes in cells, so any change will cause an abnormal result. Don't panic, I'm sure if they were really concerned they would already be scheduling a biopsy.

10% of all paps are abnormal or non routine. Most are due to inflammation or minor infections. So don't worry. They want to wait 6 months because often new mothers have an abnormal and then suddenly a normal one. It's all the stress of birthing and the hormones. Wait 'til the next test to worry.
Be well!

hi try not to worry my mother in law has had this she had to have something called a colcoscopy which is a more detailed look im sure its nothing alot of women have theses results and find its nothing xx
