How can I lower my testosterone levels??!

Question: I have poly-cystic ovary syndrome and my doctors have told me that it's caused by my testosterone levels being abnormally high. I do not have any facial hair, chest hair or any signs at all of having high testosterone levels. They had a blood test done and I was 40 points above what I should be. Is there a way to lower my testosterone levels??

The doctors should tell you this! Ask them what medication you can take. There are some types of birth control pills that can help lower your testosterone (I think the active ingredient is cyproterone acetate), but I don't know if they're necessarily good for women with PCOS because they might just be masking the problem not treating it. You need to speak to your doctors again!

If your doctor is too worried about the high testosterone levels, he probably would have prescribed a medication to lower them.
That's the most effective way to lower them.

If there was anyway then the doctors would tell you what to do don't you think? Why didnt you ask them when they told you this?

Spironolactone has been shown to block some of the testosterone. You can ask your doc about it.

40 points?!! Get a castration.
