I haven't had my period in 4 months. Whyyyy?!

Question: I'm 16 so yeaaah irregular periods are normal but it's been four months so it's worrying me a bit. I'm 5'6" and 100 pounds. I have pretty sporadic eating patterns which might have something to do with it.

I've had an addiction to Lorazepam for a few years now and I'm really worried I've done permanent damage to my body. Is it possible this disrupted or (hopefully not) stopped my menstrual cycle?

There is a medical condition on a cervical cancer website. It said that her period had to be induced with a drug called... it started with a p.. anyhow. You should take preganency test to help us help you better. I mean a doctor would trouble shoot by requiring you to take pregnency test. I hate to sound cliche' but if you are 4 months late you are pregnent or malnurished. Judging from your weight and your addiction you cant have a period your body is going into trauma. Sister is nurse and eating disorder patients also dont get their periods...you should try to put on some healthy meals

only way to know for sure to to get checked out by the dr to make sure there isn't something serious going on that is causing you not to have your periods.

are you sure there is not chance you could be pregnant? otherwis sometimes if you get too skinny it can stop your mensrtual cycle but you dont seem really 'that' skinny, well not skinny enough to cause problems. well im 16 too and mine can be gone for 4 months and then be back every second week so its probably normal.

OMG! YOUR PREGNANT!

this may be a little too obvious, but maybe your pregnant? though i doubt you'd post this if that was the case.

this could be caused by stress

i dont think its common but not rare

try talking to your doctor or mum about it

what is lorazepam??? why were you addicted to it, i dunno what it is but any drug (medicine wise) can cause damage if used unecessarly

You're a little too thin for your height, which can have something to do with it. You should discuss your addiction with your doctor to see if that is a normal side effect.
