Umm ok,
at first start with the smallest tampon, experiment with that one first.!
Try Tampax Slender.
Then when you get a hang of that use one that has better absorbancy..( one that fits with your period type.)
Change it every 2-4 hours. NEVER keep it in for more then 8 hours or TTS will strike. (Very dangerous.)
I Hope this helped <3
also go on www.beinggirl.com for more stuff on tampons and brands etc!
GOODLUCK

Well if its really heavy then use a medium absorbency tampon, but you can try it to see if it feels okay or if it feels weird. If your still under 18 talk to your mom about them,or a close family member. Good Luck!! :)
ps: you could also use maxi pads

HEY! Try just trying things out, start with petite or slim, and if thats too small for you "heavy days" get regular or medium. Check out tampon sites too, they have information and tampons choosers, (AKA: which tampon is right for you).

Check out these sites:

www.playtex.com

www.beinggirl.com

www.tampax.com

Hope I helped!

=) good luck to you!

PS: just seach "how to put in a tampon" on ask.com or yahoo.com and you'll get plenty of info. But your mom can always help best.
