I miss 3 birth control pills in a row on Wed, Thur, and Fri: What do I do?!

Question: I remember my doc saying something about not taking any more until Sunday, so to just start new.

I was going to call today and make sure that is what he said, but the office closes at 5 and I just got home around 6.

So does anyone know if that is what I do? Just don't take any tomorrow on Saterday and take one on Sunday to start again?

I'm on Ortho Tri-cyclen lo by the way.

You haven't missed today's pill yet, because it's still Friday. So far it's still late you have 2 options:
take the 3 pills today and tomorrow take saturdays pill and continue as usual OR you can throw that pack out and start a new one tomorrow
HOWEVER in both cases you need to use a back up method (condoms) or just don't have sex for at minimum 7 days

Don't have unprotected sex until you find out for sure.

(It is friday so how could you have missed todays pill?)

look in your pill pack it will say what to do for different weeks, like how far into the pill pack you are.

If you missed yesterday and the day before, take wed and thurs pills today, and take friday and saturdays pills tomorrow, then you will be all caught up for sunday, but use a condom or dont have sex for at least 7 days after your missed pills.

Abort! ABort! Abort!

I'm pretty sure once you've missed 3 it does no good to try to catch up (call your Dr.s nurse for a def. answer) and taking more than one at a time can make you feel a little ill. I've always been told to wait until my next period and start a new pack that Sunday. If you have sex before then use a condom. Good luck...

Wash up and see your doctor.

Sounds about right. Throw out the rest of the pack and start a new pack Sunday.

Or don't take anything at all, wait until Monday, and then ask.
