Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. If you are itching, you probably have a yeast infection.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period

it's just your usual discharge between periods. It's to keep your vagina moist and to help keep infections out. No problemos there.

It's normal. The only discharge you should worry about is weird colored discharge (green for example).

Probably just normal discharge. Most women get a little bit each day. It's the vagina's natural cleaning mechanism and also natural lubrication when you're aroused. It's nothing to worry about unless it has a weird colour, funny smell, or you get pain/itching.

this is normal i am 16 and get this too.

The vagina is a self-cleanser...it's normal don't worry about it...usually when this happens just wear panty-liners in your underwear; that should solve it.

it's not supposed to be called "dissscharrrge" lol
it's fluid. from your cervix. it's a sign of fertile quality fluid. the stuff sperm needs in order to live in the body. so don't worry! it's totally healthy :)
read this book called Cycle Savvy by Toni Weschler or look it up online.
disscharrge???! lol. could you imagine if we called seminal fluid "discharge"? guys would freak out! it's got a negative / abnormal connotation.
:)

It IS called discharge if you want to refer to it correctly. You don't need to be worried about this if it is clear, or whiteish in colour. Throughout the month the consistency of a woman's discharge changes, at certain times it may be clear, certain times it may be thicker and more milky in colour. The only time you need to be concerned is if there is an offensive odour, if the colour of the discharge is green, yellow or any other colour, or if you experience any other symptoms such as itching, tingling, burning or any physical sores or bumps. If you experience itching, it may be as simple as a yeast infection such as thrush, so if you're concerned just pop along to your doctor for a quick checkup.

My first thought is --how did you get to the time in your life that you have a period but have never experienced vaginal discharge? The discarge is completely normal, your way of cleaning yourself, and usually happens for a few years before the period starts (and then continues forever). It has nothing to do with being pregnant so you are just fine!

the slimy discharge is ovulation girls get it all the time. And if you are young it won't go away for a couple of years.(never gone for good) It comes for a week before and for a week after. In away its a warning. It also is your most fertile time.
