Can I use the pill Diflucane and the cream Vagi-Gard together for my yeast infec!
Question: Well...I keep having reoccurent yeast infections and now my doctor has prescribed me the pill Diflucane for like the 4th time. But before this, my stupid gynecologist prescribed me the wrong medicine (Clindesse, an anti-biotic) that totally reversed the yeast infection and made it come down even MORE. ALOT MORE. Now I have like the worst case of a yest infection I've ever had. Since it was coming down at a faster rate, I used a pad to avoid the yeast from staining my underware. I realized as I kept usimg the pad for about 3 days, I noticed these itchy raised bumps, sort of like hives spreading.
Which brings me to right now. I took the pill Diflucane yesterday, and it seems to be doing me well. For the itchy raised bumps, my mom says I should use this anti-itch cream called Vagi-Gard. It tried this cream before and it was okay. I'm just wondering if I can apply it now since I'm already on Diflucane?..Pretty long story, So can I apply the cream?

Yes the cream and the pill can be used in conjunction with each other. It's actually preferable that you DO use them together for better results. Usually the oral pill treats the internal infection of thrush/yeast infections, and the cream helps to calm the itching etc externally.
I am not that old to have experianced any of this but i recommebd you dont, mixing of two diff. products is a caution sign
Ummm well the only thing that I can tell you is that. Find that right medicine and get that cleared up asap
call your pharmacist at your particular pharmacy to see if there are any possible interactions with any medications you may be taking, i'm sure that you can use both at the same time, but i would want you to ask a professional.
You can use both. If your GYN perscribed Clindamycin, then he is treating you for bacterial vaginitis (BV) and not a regular yeast infection. Diflucan won't cure BV. The over the counter itch cream may help the itch but it will do nothing for yeast or BV. It is entirly possible for you to get a yeast infection as a result of taking the antibiotics. I suggest you take all of the Clindesse first. Then treat the yeast infection. Use the cream for your comfort.
A common side effect for women who take antibiotics is a yeast infection. I get one everytime so I try to avoid antibiotics as much as possible. If I have to take an antibiotic, I ask for a RX for Diflucan to go along with it.
yea that pill works good im not sure about your ? though i dont c why not but sometimes i have to take two of those pills to work for me i no how you feel good it is hoorrible worse thing in life man i no. good luck. dont wear tight underwear at all take baths and soak too.
