I'm sorry to hear this had to happen when you were just about to go for a vacation...welcome to the life of women! And congratulations too!

To answer your question, every girl is different. The average time frame a period usually lasts is 5-7 days, but I think even that is generous. Mine usually only lasts 4 or 5 at the most, but again, everyone is different. If you're leaving on the 7th and you got it on the 31st, I would say 7 days is more than enough time for it finish it's business. And there's a chance that it could stop and start again, but that would be within the 7 days, and not any longer than that.

Trust me, relax, take some advil, and don't worry because you're gonna have a great vacation period free!!!

the best thing you can do is wear a tampon, and take motrin before you go out in 15 minutes. it'll help so you wont get cramps.
i'm sure being on your period wont effect snowboarding, have fun though

for the other thing, you can't stop a period and bring it back when your ready, although that would be so much easier to us girls!
good luck hope i helped :)

normally it should be done by the 6th. its cutting it close but thats only if its a full week. not all girls have theres that long. as a girl in your fam who your close to and that should give you a heads up. if it doesnt stop the 6th then it should be super light where you wouldnt really have to worry about it. and chances are it wont come back. just bring some advil just in case lol.
hope this helps

It is impossible to predict how a girls first period will go. Some only last a few days and are really light, others are like mine was, very heavy and lasted a couple weeks. Your best bet is to talk your concerns over with your mother. Be sure your father is aware of your situation. It will not come as a shock to him.

Tampons are a good choice. There is nothing to be scared about. There are risks with using them, but it is very rare to have problems. Again talk this over with your mother.

well im not going to lie to u not having a mom with u while u being on ur cycle does suck, sorry. But yeah i agree with chiickax33 buy some tampons ( my sister perfers paytex sport she's 17 going on 18 this month) or if u feel comfortable with pads then buy those. but also no u cant stop ur period during the week it will only stop on its own sorry bout that too! and trust me u will get cramps wich will make u a tad bit mean (trust im 13 its happen to me). so just try and have fun and get the always with the morstirizing tissue with it if u perfer pads. bye bye hopefully i helped ~eli12~
