A free clinic is a clinic in which you can do all the same things as you can do at planned parenthood. PP is low cost, or free. You might have to pay a few bucks. No, they don't give you a test you can take home. Most will arrange for you to take a blood test to test for pregnancy. If by chance they do do a urine test they will make you take it at the office so that they can schedule you for anything you may need done and also to give you your prenatal vitamins. They also tell you what and what not to eat, do, and such.

a free clinic is through the department of health and human services in your county (considering you live in the US)
I think most of them will give you a free pregnancy test. You will have to take it there. If it is positive then they will give you heavy counseling on not having an abortion.
