Serious Question please help if you can ...?!

Question: I was recently told i had Chlyamidia. My boyfriend and I were both tested and treated. We waited the correct amount of time to have sex agin while on the antibiotics.

OK so after the antibiotics gave me a yeast infection (which i have never had before) which went away because 2 days after the yeast infection started my period came and my doc said that it blanced me out and got rid of the yeast infection.

Now I am having a lot of thick creamy (sorry for the details) discharge..sometimes it has a slight yellowish tint, but rarely. It has a mild odor to it only sometimes as well. It is a lot all day. I am not sure what to think because i was thinking the discharge i had before i got tested was normal, and now its back to that. Could i still have Chlyamidia and the meds didn't treat it all ? What else could this discharge be ?

The vagina is self-cleaning so everything you put in (meds) has to come out.

I'm sure the meds took care of the Chlyamidia, but the yeast could start up again and/or need to be flushed out.

normal

When you guys had sex again, did you use a condom? Maybe you did not wait long enough and still possibly had the infection. you need to go back to your gynecologist. They are better equipped to answer this question than we are.

You could possibly still have Chlamydia and/or a yeast infection. depending on the strength of antibiotics you were on and how long you took them, they may not have worked effectively enough. Plus, it's possible to still have a yeast infection while being on your period...I don't know why your Dr. would tell you that your period would balance or block out a yeast infection. You need to have another culture done to determine what the discharge is a result from.

Antibiotics are also known to cause yeast infections as well, so that may be it. But call your dr and let them know what's going on!

discharge ???????????????

Sounds normal but check with your doctor just to be safe.
