Depends on a couple of things
Some spotting is normal
are you on birth control pills? how old are you? was the one day bleeding a dark brown or a bright red?
If there is any chance you could be pregnant, you need to rule that out, many females often have a period or a few spotting episodes in the beginning of pregnancy...unfortunately could also be sign of miscarriage, but if you had a normal cycle one week ago, probably not.
could also be a sign of cysts, either ovarian or uterine
You should schedule an exam with OB/GYN just to make sure all is ok
good luck and take care

it could be spot bleeding, but you should get it checked out just to be safe and so if it is another problem you can possibly prevent future problems.

Hi,, well first off you don't say how old you are or if your periods are usually regular. It's not uncommon, when a young lady first starts having a period for it to come more than once in a month until you get regular or even to spot between periods. If your older, and you've been having your periods regularly for a long time, this could be an indicator that you need to go see your doctor. If you have cramps, or any pains in your lower stomach, I would go and see my doctor. It could be anything from just your hormones acting up to a problem with your female parts. If it really worries you, plz, make a doctors appointment. Better to be safe. Hope this helped

The vagina is self-cleaning.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods (up to a week after), and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
