i have the merina iud and i feel it was the best choice for me. i knew i didn't want kids so its 99.9 effective. and i had trouble with my periods and now i dont have one. i like the idea you dont have to fool with the every day pill or what ever. its good for 5 years. and it feels like a menstrual cramp when its inserted and it can be done in the docs office. and ive had one removed before and it feels like a mild cramp. then some things came up and i was told not to have kids. so i had another one put in. and you dont have to worry about getting pregnant if you take antibiotics like you do with the pill. and your body isn't filled with hormones like with other methods. i highly recommend it this is the best birth control i found.

I currently have it and love it. My periods can be unpredictable though. I did have it for about a month in the beginning. Some cons that I have experienced are constant break outs and hair loss. I have not confirmed with my doc that these are from the IUD but I am sure they are. I am not good with pills and I can't get pregnant right now(4 kids under 6) so I am willing to put up with these things!

I like it....I have had it since oct.

well, im on the pill that has the exact same things that are in the IUD and im about to get off them becuz i hate the breakouts and my boobs are ALWAYS sore, like not just sore, but they kill me all the time. i can't handle it and the breakouts are horrible, and its not good to not have a period either. so imgetting back on the ring which i was on before and it gave me no problems whatsoever. Hope this helped a litte, God bless

I have Mirena and love it. I haven't had any bad side effects. I no longer have heavy painful periods or PMS. I did have six months of spotting. It was more annoying then anything. Now I have random spotting which happens about once a month but you can't really time it like a period.
