yes. sounds like you have a UTI (urinary track inefection). The doctor will only take a urine sample and test it. That will tell them wether you have it or not. Once you know... if you do have one, he will place you on meds to numb any pain when you pee..... which will make your pee REALLY ORANGE..... and you might want to be careful peeing or wearing nice underware.... cause it stains. This med will also make you stop having that feeling of having to go so many times.....

He will also put you on an antibiotic. The med that takes the pain and feeling of having to go, should kick in within 20 minutes of you taking it.

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice.

You'll be over it in no time..... and don't be scarred.... they are not going to "look" at you.

Just go to the doctor. Put your big girl panties on and deal with it.

They'll have you pee in a cup, give you some meds and off you go.

There is nothing to be afraid of at the docs office. The nurse will have you urinate in a cup and the lab will test your urine for you and the doctor will prescribe medication to get rid of the infection. You need to get over your fear of the doctor as he went to school to learn how to HELP you not hurt you. Get to the docs office ASAP becuase if you don't get it treated it could spread to your kidneys or your blood stream and make things worse.

why be afraid of someone who will make you feel better i am a nurse and like you was afraid of the dr. no idea how i ended up being a nurse
but really don' t fear the dr. fear not going.
good luck honey

there is nothing to be afraid of, he is just going to ask you to pee in a cup so he can test your urine for bacteria so he knows what kind of medicine to put you on. Drink lots and lots of water. I suggest you fill up an old 2 liter pop bottle with water and drink all of it every day while you are on medicine, it will help to flush out your kidneys.

Glad to hear you are going to the doctor. yes, the kidneys could be affected. From now on drink lots of water and at least one glass of cranberry juice a day AND don't hold the urine, when you have to pee GO pee don't wait for waiting can cause bladder infections.

The doctor won't hurt you. He may take urine sample to make sure which antibtioic will work and give you Perideum (colors the urine) to stop the pain.

In the meantime cut all ALL caffeinated drinks which stimulate the kidney and drink hordes of water. No coffee No tea No caffeinated drinks like soda or energy drinks
