Answers: I have had my period for about 5 months now and seem to gain weight when i get it! is this normal and does the excess weight go away and when? and how much do you gain

yes its just that yuoure bloated and retaining water.. it goes away on the last day of your period. i usualy gain 5 lbs

It's normal.

yess
when you have your period
your body retains water
(keeps alot in)
but after your period within 1-2 days
the weight goes away
it flecuates from1-3 pounds

Yeah, that's normal. I usually gain from 5-7 pounds, it's just water retention, bloating. It goes away after you get your period.

It's just water weight. Try not to eat as much caffeine and sodium during this time and it should go down.

Sometimes its not that you put on weight, its that your bloated around the time your due.
In this case, it will go away.
Sometimes you can put on weight if you've just gone on the pill?
and also depends if you eat quite healthy food but then mix it up with a bit of takeaway. if its mostly take aways then maybe you need to cut down a little.
Hope this helps.

There are several ways to reduce weight gain during the premenstrual phase. A regular exercise routine and a balanced, nutritious diet are the most important lifestyle factors. Foods high in refined sugars should be replaced with those that are high in complex carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. Food cravings can be managed by getting adequate sleep, eating smaller and more frequent meals, limiting caffeine intake, staying well hydrated, and doing at least some exercise. Reducing salt intake in the last few days before one
