Is it normal if a girl gets her period when shes 10 years old?!
Question: I agree with the majority, today its normal for girls to get their periods at a much younger age because like stated earlier, girls are developing much faster.
Part of the reason they are developing much faster has to do with the foods that are being consumed. Lots of foods, particularly meats and milk, are injected with hormones and other such things. These cause the children to develop faster.
You are fine though, as you can see many girls have gotten their periods at the same age as you did.

It's a little out of the norm, but usually nothing to worry about, I know people who have gotten it even younger. Most people start before 12 or 13tops, so she should be okay.
Periods are unpredictable, nothing is "normal". Some girls get it younger than others just like some get it while they are older. But if you are concerned talk to your mother or a gynecologist. Though I think you've got nothing to worry about.
yeah, that's when my sister got hers. Girl usually get it between 10-16. Sometimes even younger.
Yes. I believe I was 10 when I first got mine (I'm 35). I was 10 or 11. I know of other girls who have, too.
yes it is. the reason in most countrys girls go into getting there period in all at the age of 15+ is because in america they put some chemicals in the milk and you mature faster!

Girls are getting their period much younger than it used to be.
Girls of color are getting them really early, like even 7 and 8.
Usually girls get it early if they are over weight too...usually around 120 pounds or more.
Girls can get their first period at the age of 9 . It's not abnormal to get a first period at age 10. It depends on the person, and children are starting puberty at younger ages .

and i was kinda bummed, because i hat takeing care of it, but its just the circle of life, i got mine while i was in the grocery store, and my tampons have leaked many times before!
you usally start of with pads, then you start wearing tampons, i wore tampons like 4 months after i got my first period, because i was scheduled to go to the lake, and you can not swim with your period unless you have a tampon in.
it only last for a week every month.

Now days that is normal. I was 11, Because of the hormone is some much of the food and milk products it is not uncommon. The average age is currently 8-13, where as 20 years ago it was 14-17.
Yes, it's very normal. I got mine at 10, and my sister and cousin both had theirs at 12. Many women in my family had theirs early. Some girls are lucky enough to not get them until their late teens, too.
This dosent fall under the "norm". Although it is quite possible, and rather believable. Girls are getting thier period younger and younger every decade.
One of my good friends got hers when she was 8. I on the other hand didn't get mine until I was 15 1/2. It's all genetics. But I have heard that the earlier you get your period, the more at risk you are for breast cancer. Now a days though, everything gives you cancer. I wouldn't worry about it.

The age range normally can go any where from 9-14. I got my period when I was 11 and a friend of mine got hers when she was 9.
It's all perfectly normal. We all grow at our own pace.
