What could this possibly be?!
Question: I am due for my period this week so I am hoping that it's just cramps. However, I normally don't get cramps like this. It's only on the left side and the pain is radiating down my left leg. Any ideas? I am not on any birth control pills either. It's actually taking my breath away. I have not experienced cramps like this ever. At first it would come on and off strong, but now it's constant. Thanks for all your answers.

Ovulation :) I get the same thing. It's not always on the same side because they switch... I don't think it's anything to worry about. If the pain is more in the front and not your back then it's probably that. When I get pains like that... it almost feels like there is a rock bouncing around. That's the best way I can describe it. It can radiate to your legs too... my cramps do. I usually always get these pains a week or two before my period. Sometimes I don't at all.
It could be a lot of things.. could you be pregnant? if it doesn't go away go to your doctor asap!
It could be that you have one egg thats not been released properley, or two have been released by the same ovary by accident.
If the pain gets unbearable i would definately go to your doctor though.

I had the exact same symptoms, and it turned out to be kidney stones.
There are so many possibilities, there is no way to tell what it is without being seen by a doctor.
