i am currently in the grip of the worst PMS i have suffered for months. i am tearful, aggressive, and unable to cope with the most mundane of things. i am in tears typing this for no reason. I'm craving foods that are high in sugar and fat and could quite happily carry on eating till i was ill. my face has also broken out into a million (4) huge spots.
i go for months with not so much as a tear or pimple then i have a month like this where it gets so bad i seriously think about locking myself in the house and not seeing people for a week.
i don't really know how to deal with this as its not every month.
my usual reaction is to eat chocolate, sleep alot and cry !!

Tell me about it !
Try taking B vitamins and iron. It helps.

I get the hunger thing too!! I thought it was just me! I also get very low the day before im due on. I cry loads for no reason.

I think you'll find that pretty much everyone feels like that a week before they're due!

I think that this is a very common complaint or 'hazard' with pmt. I always feel hungry a few days before but I crave certain foods, usually chocolate actually. I am a night mare to live with for those few days though not as bad as some of the horror stories I have heard that have been associated with PMT. As soon as I begin the period, I am back to my normal self. Poor you, poor me, poor any one else that has to go through with. Still, It's great to be Woman!!!

I have issues with PMS too. I found that taking B6 as either a bottle by itself or as part of B Complex was very helpful for the emotional aspect of dealing with PMS.

Why would you listen to me, I am a man and I have suffered some form of pms for years from my wife... The thing is I could have the answer but she won't listen to me, as I am never right ! AND I am a Doctor in that field !!!

try licorice tea...or fennel seed tea. It calms the nerves, the muscular system and the appetite. Also, sex is a really good thing before you get your period. It calms the uterus and pelvis, and your cramps are much less severe....truly!

me too!

join the club!!!! who doesnt PMS???

Oh my goodness!! I'm suffering right now! I sometimes I get really bad headaches and nausea, and today my head has been pounding!! Normally, I get very tired and in a bitchy mood...I mean very irritable!! And then the next week it comes...crazy, ain't it?

Psychotic Mood Swings?

me too, i'm 15 years old by the way, everytime i get out of the shower a few days before my period i have pms pain and food helps out, also my mum just started making me have fish oil tablets they also help and taking some nurofen if you have pain too helps.

go for b complex

Me too, chocolate and ice cream mostly, jogging helps too and burns the calories off!

Take Vitamin B and iron, and also, start a course of Evening Primrose Oil capsules. I was the She-Devil for 10 days of every month until I started taking those things, plus they reduced the killer cramps I tended to get.

I can't say I've ever felt hungry, but I do get wound-up and a bit bad tempered. And I always get a really bad headache a day or two before it starts.

i do i feel really ruff, it is when i am on i feel better then it starts again

xx
