Should I be worried about spotting?!

Question: So I have been spotting for the past month straight. I called my doctor about it and she switched me to another birth control in an attempt to make it stop. But It is a week since I started the new b.c. and I am still spotting. I haven't been sexually active in 3 months and I have probably dropped about 55 lbs over the past 5 months. This is because of a change in my diet (no sugar and no cholesterol). Is this serious?

If you are on any pill, spotting is not a big deal. Your old pill was probably the incorrect amount of hormones for you, so it caused spotting. Now that you've switched, it will take awhile to regulate, so you may spot for awhile just because you switched. I would give it about two months before switching again, but it's possible that any pill will make you spot and you may just have to wait it out.

I would say it's not serious...When I was on the DepoShot that messed me up pretty bad...I was spotting for almost 6 months straight!!! It was horrible...It's your body just getting use to it...Just wait it out and if it doesn't stop try the RING if you haven't done so yet...That worked for me u change it once a month..And you don't even feel it....Trust me the spotting is normal for all women...U are making a change to your body. It's just trying to adjust... good luck I hope I helped.
