Question about birth control pills?!
Question: I just turned 16 and I want to go on birth control pills im not sexually active i just want it so i can have shorter periods and I want my body to develop more. I have small boobs im just an a cup and i learned in school that birth control pills make your body develop more quickly. So my mom said she will let me get them but i have to go to a gynecologist and i am so scared to do that! Does anybody know what they do if you want to get birth control pills?

Your doctor will ask you a lot of personal questions and will probably want to do a PAP-smear to check for any abnormalities. Birth control pills can help with shorter periods and can even clear up acne but there are risks and your doctor will talk to you about these. Women can develop blood clots, etc. and if you start young you will keep having to increase the dose as you get older. Just be sure to ask a lot of questions and don't feel self-conscious...that's what the doctor is there for. If you are really nervous try a female doctor...I prefer them.
