Problem with using the bathroom?!

Question: Well I will tell you this maybe a little graphic. Ok Well my anus feels really painful right now. The reason being was that I was using the bathroom and out of nowhere my anus started having these really sharp pains. Why is this? And btw I'm on my period. Are laxatives good for less pain?

I'd skip the laxatives, personally, unless you're actually constipated. They tend to *cause* bowel cramps. Increasing the fiber in your diet is a much gentler way to improve your regularity.

Problems such as constipation, diarrhea, or bowel cramps are fairly common in menstruating women. They can be a sign of endometriosis... or they can just be one of those things. While I can't say for sure that's what your issue is, I wouldn't necessarily freak out.

I would speak to your Dr ! You could have IBS with constipation!

you could use a laxitive but it may give you diareah you could possibaly have a hemroid. I would use a stool softener insted of a laxitive. it will help with the pain and it won't give you the runs.

You may have eaten something that wasn't fully digested. or you had a really big turd. I've never heard of a period having anythign to do with painful turds but go to webmd website and you'll get a professional mature response.

Hope it works out for ya.

Laxatives r not a good idea

I have that as well during my period for a day or so. It is actually normal. If you want to be sure, it never hurts to double check with a doctor. Laxatives are only for constipation, so if you think that is the problem (if you haven't gone for several days) you could try that, but only as a last resort. Constipation feels more like cramps than sharp pain, so that is most likely not the problem.

again ask ur doctor he will help, i m not trying to be roud or anything but i just don't want u taking the the wrong info from us and getting hurt
