Um I just started using tampons....?!

Question: Ok so I put it in and it was fine. But now as I sit here I can slightly feel it. I pushed it in farter with my finger but it hurts on the sides when i do. Like when I look I can see the bottom just a little bit. What do I do? I don't want to be able to feel it at all.

its not in far enough..

take it out do another one..

is this the first time? do you know how to properally do it?

First part of the aplicator goes COMPLETELY in... then push the 2nd part till it's completely in the first one... then it should be right.

hope it helps!

Try a bigger size

You aren't suppose to feel it, babe! If you want it to stick out slightly, it's going to hurt. Whatever you want to do . . .

I used my first tampon yesterday, and I understand how you feel.

I used a regular, and I made sure that it was in all the way, and I can't feel it at all. Well, except for the string moving, I can still feel that and it annoys me to no end...

But try inserting a bigger size, and maybe further back?

take it out and try again, i didnt get right when i first started using them, just keep trying until u dont feel it anymore of course some brands of tampons have the tendancy to slip out every once and awhile so when this happens just take it out and try again and mke sure ur relaxed when u insert it

hope this helps :)

sometimes you do feel it, no matter what you do, I always feel the tampon in me, its not uncomfortable, but I can feel it

you might just feel them for a while till your body gets used to it. I know when i first started useing them, and even now sometimes i can feel it when i sit. you may not be pushing it in all of the way. Try again.
Good luck!

Hi, honey
First of all no one should be telling a 12 year old that its stimulating nd not a guy, the tampon will be causing friction inturn causing cystitus. Try a tampon with an applicater and moisten it just before entering it pushing in and upwards till the two cones meet then remove the applicater. It does take a few goes but you will get there, Try going to se a nurse at your doc's surgery for more info and help, best wishes and good luck.

Try a different brand or size, the "sport" Playtex are comfy but you have to find what fits with you, good luck.

Okay well using a bigger one won't help i suggest a slim, smaller than regular, cuz you are starting out. It should help go over the instructions again, they are really important!! you shouldn't see it at all.

Hi sweetie. I can appreciate your wanting to use tampons. They are much more comfortable than pads. I started using them when I was also 12. However, when I was a teenager, pads were like mini mattresses LOL.

Contrary to the first answer you got, try a smaller size.

You can also try lubricating the tip of the tampon with a water soluble product like KY gel.

I am really out of the loop in this but do Tampax still have an applicator? If so, give those a try. I always found them easier to insert than the ones that did not have an applicator. Again, you can lubricate the applicator...

Once the tampon is in the right place, you should not be able to feel it.

Remember to change the tampon frequently. Wash your hands before you insert one and of course after it is removed. The little panty liners that are available now are an excellent back up when you are using tampon. Tampons are not leakproof especially if you have worn one swimming.

If you can see the bottom of it its not in far enough. In the packets they have diagrams on how to use it. Try using these positions and relaxing when you put it in. If this doesnt work try using a smaller tampon...

Good luck!

I would suggest you get the slim ones by playtex gentle glide. they are alot smaller than regular. And then when you do insert it do as the instructions say and also tilt the applicator more toward your back. that is what my ob said and that made all the difference in the world. good luck

your bending it when you sitdown, thus thrusting it throught your vagina, i don't know why it hurts, it should feel stimulating.
