Women who take Metformin?!

Question: OK I have been taking it now for a week and a half. They first started me on 500 MG 1 pill a day for a week. and now I am taking 2 pills a day for a week 1000 MG and then starting next week I will be taking 3 pills a day forever. that is 1500 MG. It is giving me loose poop. how can I fix this? I can't take pepto because it will mess with my fertility. I do have PCOS (google it if you need) that is why I'm taking it. also I am having fertility issues. Thank you to anyone who answers. But mainly my question is, how can I stop the diarrhea

Normally it takes about 2 weeks for your body to adjust to the met. Hence the slow increase! also. I used to take it at bedtime with an immodium. It seemed to help, I felt like I slept through most of the symptoms as well. Oh and I DID GET pregnant that month! so the Immodium is fine for fertility. Ive actually never heard pepto being bad for fertility! Im on Glumetza now which im finding is easier but it is more costly! and were probably pregnant with number 2! Met, Gluc, Glumet, all of it I swear are miracle treatments for those of us with pcos! Im hoping for a fast BFP for you!

It took several weeks for my system to adjust to it. That's just one of the side effects.

Mine settled down after 2 weeks, so just be a little more patient. I take 2 pills a day for diabetes. My doc did say don't start to take the 2nd pill until the diarrhea subsided, so it may be wise to take advise before starting on the 3rd pill. Try diacalm for the symptoms.
