i had an abortion when i was 18..it does not hurt during the procedure, you may feel some pressure thats about it..but emotionally/mentally it is hard to deal with at first, but as time goes on and even talking to a counselor will help you get through it. Just know, you did nothing wrong ( regardless of what anyone says) it was a choice you or whoever had to make for your future

It hurt emotionally not really physically. It will give you cramps and will be uncomfortable. I know you said no harassment but i want you to know my baby is the best thing that has ever happened in my life.

at planned parenthood you have the choice of anesthetic, for 100 dollars more. With that you should be fine. My sister had an abortion but couldnt afford the extra 100 so she went without it and said it was not pleasant, but obviously something you can handle if its even an option...it all depends on your finances and your tolerance of pain...hope this helps

My best friend just had an abortion and she said that she was in pain. But I'm not sure if thats true for all women who have abortions.

i havent had one but having a baby is the best thing a person could do it made my life better

A friend of mine had an abortion and she said that the only part that physically hurt was when they dilated the cervix. I think she was about 11 weeks when she had hers. Her parents had also made her get one years ago. Just make absolutely sure it is what you want to do and have a support system because it can haunt you years later.

OOOH my dear I am so sorry you find yourself in this predictament. While I have never had this procedure I work in womens health care. Physical pain, yes, it is like bad menstrual cramping if you do not have anestethic. With anesthesia you should not feel to much. Emotional pain, yes I am sure, however no one can judge you but yourself. Please call a crisis pregnancy center, they can help you with all aspects of this, and PLEASE speak with a close adult, they might not want to hear this, but you need emotional support. You have many options, however, you choose what is best for you and do not worry what others think. It is between you and your higher power. Those without sin need to cast the first stone. In many states you can not have this procedue done if you are to far along, so time is of the essence. Please make your decision promptley. I will pray for you no matter what decison you make. You may e-mail me if you like...camobabe@sbcglobal.net. Take Care

I have heard that it can hurt or not hurt, depending on your threshold for pain. Most women don't have to take time off to recover or anything, so it can't be that bad.
I promise I'm not being mean, because I understand that it can be really hard when you find yourself in this situation, but I want you to know that there are a million couples out there who would love you forever if you gave them your baby. You have the chance to make someone else the happiest person in the world--you have a great gift to offer. If you carry the baby to term and give it up for adoption you'll be free of the responsibility and you'll be helping create a happy family. Just something to think about. Regardless of your choice I hope you have a wonderful life, and that you never have to deal with anything this difficult again.
