Embarrassing question - Tampon lodged inside me?!
Question: My period has started to wind down, and I can't remember whether or not I put a tampon in today. I'm fairly certain that I did, though. I had sex with my boyfriend totally forgetting that I may or may not have a tampon in. "It" sure felt different going in, like a lot tighter. If I had a tampon in, and it's lodged inside of me, what the heck do I do? I tried reaching up there to see if there was a tampon there but I couldn't really feel one. I don't know what to do! Please help, and serious answers only please!

Try lying on your back and then inserting your fingers in as far as you can to see if you can grab it. Or have your boyfriend help you. If you can't feel it and you are certain you put one in then in the morning give your gynecologist a call. The vagina is a blind alley. I can only go so far. It will not end up in your uterus or abdomen. The biggest problem would be possible infection.

if you can't feel it it probably isn't there. it can only go in so far and if it is in there it will work it's way out soon I once forgot I had one in and put a nother one in and the one that was already in there pushed the fresh one out. if your really worried about it though go to the dr and make sure.
If you nor your partner felt it then you may not have had one in, but if your sure you did you can try again to see if you can find it, or maybe ask your bf IF he is mature enough not to be weirded out...IF you cannot find it and your sure it was in there go to the ER (they see this all the time) and they can use a speculum to find it. IF you have one in and do not go you will be sorry as you will get a horrible infection and maybe even aquire Pelvic inflamatory disease. (IF your a little embarrassed to go to the ER, just remember that they have seen it all and THIS is a quite common occurance)\ Good luck to you
If there is a tampon in your vagina you should be able to easily feel it with your finger.
edit: What's with the thumbs down. Most women can feel there own cervix. It would be impossible for it to go any farther.

If u are certain u put the tampon in but can not remember taking it out, then the chances are fairly high that it is up there somewhere. Trying to remove it by urself might only cause it to go even deeper. Now remember this is a foreign body the longer it stays the more danger it poses so. Go see a doc a.s.a.p!
