The nipples have very sensitive skin. The reason it probably kept taking you to breastfeeding sites is because women that breastfeed can have the same issues...the skin on the nipple can even become callused when feeding as well as swollen and bleed. You should go back and reread those websites instructions on how to manage the discomfort it will probably help. There are a couple of things you can do when you tan cover the nipples, avoid putting the tingling lotion on your nipples, if they get burned again you can rub vinegar on them to pull the heat out of your skin and you can get a product called Soothies (glycerin gel pads and can be found where the breast pads for breastfeeding mothers are in the store) put them in the refrigerator and when you have this irritation again put them in your bra. One side of the Soothies has a material on it so it won't stick to your bra. They are reusable and feel wonderful. If the swelling doesn't go away talk to your OB or family doctor.

could be a sign of PG....also your time of the month may be fast approaching

Go see a doctor, You won't know for sure unless if you go. Could have been cause by when you were tanning.
