Question: How can you tell the difference between normal breast tissue and a lump?

well just cause you get a lump doesnt mean you have cancer. you could be fibercystic. that just means you grow cyst, especially when you have a lot of caffeine and when you ovulate. a lump feels small and hard and has slight movement. my doctor explained it to me as a bb pellet under the skin. dont mistake this for mammalia glands, you will always feel those. they are not quit as dense or hard. more than likely youdont have cancer. just make sure you see your obgyn regularlly.

Go to your doctor. They can tell the difference and actually show you.

Or, you can buy one of those training tools at the pharmacy. Ask the pharmacist.

Definitely talk to your GYN about how to do breast exams and what you're looking for. But check your family history as well (if possible). If there is no history of breast cancer, I'd relax and go see the doc.

if a lump is hard an not movable then that is bad go to the doctor. also you could get an hpv test. dont mess around with that really go to the dr

If you have breasts its possable, I would say not real likely though. Go to the doctors. Most women have lumps in their breasts that is why it is important to do self checks and have an annual breast exam when you get your pap. This allows everyone to know the normal feel of your breasts so when there is something abnormal it can be easily detected.

Possible..........but cases in your age group are rare. The whole idea of doing a monthly exam is to get to know your breast. You are not always looking for a lump but change. If you are concerned make an appointment and have it checked out. Always better to be safe then sorry.
