Painless periods!!! HELP GIRLS!!?!

Question: im 19 and i used to have VERY bad menstrual cramps!
now its been a year that i barely feel anything on my periods!
i heard that may be a sign on anovulation (since not all of ur period are accompanied with ovulation)
i also heard that this may be related to the hymen (when its broken, the uterus doesnt have to push hard to let the blood out) im a virgin with an intact hymen as in my culture, i have to keep it this way till my marriage. i know u may say it can be broken by sports, tampons and others, but here we dont use tampons and we take this hymen thing seriously, so my hymen is supposed to be intact.
i also noticed that the rate of my flow is less (i dun change my pads frequently as before)
so what do u think girls??? do u think its anovulation? hymen? or this flow thing??
have u girls ever experienced this????
HELP!!!!!

Normal periods are painless.
Unless you have a problem and you get cramps.
If you used to have cramps and now you don't, that means the problem you had just fixed itself and now you're fine.

The pain you might feel during your periods has nothing to do with your hymen or your ovulation (the pain is from cramps from your uterine contractions).

If your flow is less and you have less pain, it is your body adjusting and waiting.

Mmm I think once you get older your period is suposed to get better. My mom told me the horrible painful cramps are only through teen years. Maybe your hymen is broke. Ya I know it's important but hey you can always get that operation can't you ? Well it's illegal but still. I'm really not sure. I think it's just because your getting older your period is changing?

i dont experience that cause my period is monthly and not so flow very fast so my advice is go to a doctor to consult ur problem....

women's periods change throughout their lives. It depends on a lot of things, what you eat, how much you exercise, and your general health. Whether your hymen is broken or not does NOT affect the pain you feel during your period, so you can relax and enjoy your un-painful period.

I had painful periods since day one!!! there are many different causes I haven't known being intact to be one of them....doesn't mean it is not true....although you are a virgin at your age you really should see a gyn...They typically are very gentle with intact women...I used to work for one....for the pain, you can try aleve but do not exceed the recommended dose or there is a prescription called ponstel which I had a lot of success with when I was in severe need. Good luck to you and keep following your culture!!! it is great to wait!!

You're worried because you're period has gotten better...

I really just can't seem to find a problem in that.

"but here we don't use tampons and we take this hymen thing seriously..."

I don't know where you are... but I don't think it's healthy to take something so serious that can break on its own. Not to mention some women can be born without a hymen.

If your hymen has broken or you don't have one I really wouldn't be worried. I can assure you that the man you eventually marry, especially if he is also a virgin, won't know the difference between the clitorus and urethra. That is unless you're marring an ob/gyn. The worst thing you can do at this point is obsess over it. Just trust that it is intact and don't stress over it.

If you are honestly worried you can contact your health care provider. However if your fears are confirmed I can only see it doing more harm than good.
